The Canadian Olympic Foundation is a newly formed organization that provides Canadians with their first opportunity to support the success of high performance athletes across all Olympic sports. Importantly, the Foundation is part of the Olympic family and is the national charitable organization that funds all Olympic sports.  We do this by working with all National Sport Organizations, from Alpine Canada to Skate Canada, Gymnastics Canada to Swim Canada.

The Foundation acts on the technical advice from Canada's top sport experts in Own the Podium who know the athletes, the coaches and the field of play for every single sport.  Based on recommendations of these expert groups, The Foundation directs your donations to where it can do the most good.

Our immediate focus is clear; it is to fund the winter programs of Own the Podium 2010 to ensure our athletes are successful at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

We are doing this because we know that Canadians want this success. A 2006 survey found 69% of polled Canadians said it is important for Canada to be the top medal finisher at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.  The Foundation is your means to do this, to connect the nation to the Games in a way that's never been done before.  Connecting us as One Nation, One Team and One Mission......Podium Success.
