Pierse, who was sixth in the 200m breast-stroke final at last summer's Beijing Olympics, is having a giant year in her development. Earlier this year, she broke the world record in the 200 breast-stroke short course event. And she bettered her Canadian long course records as well in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes.
