'We are extremely excited to be hosting the highest calibre of Canadian field hockey players in this age group,' said Field Hockey Ontario president Ann Doggett. 'These championships are an important event in the development of young field hockey players.' The winning teams will represent Canada at the Pan American Qualifier for the right to participate in the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore. The tournament opens with a women's match between BC White and Alberta at 8 a.m. The first men's game is at 10:45 a.m.
