Marie-Eve Drolet is hoping for an Olympic podium finish next winter despite a six-year absence from short-track speedskating that followed her relay bronze at the Salt Lake Winter Games in 2002. It took her less than a year to reclaim a spot on the national team and now she has her eye on the final roster going to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. My times are even faster than they were before, said Drolet.I feel pretty confident.

Athletics Canada named its team Tuesday for the meet Aug. 15-23 in Berlin, a day after the deadline to achieve the Canadian qualifying standards.
